The rooftop weather station Freiburg – Chemiehochhaus is operated by the Chair of Environmental Meteorology of the University of Freiburg for research, teaching and public outreach since 1999. Additional automatic measurements at pedestrian level are available from Freiburg – Werthmannstrasse since 2018 in a vegetated backyard.
